Fa-Ree-Key

So this post started out as a "comparison-post-to-prove-everyone-wrong" post. See, everyone always tells us how much Sarah looks just like Claire. Michael and I just never saw it. Granted, we knew they looked like sisters. The family resemblance is strong, no doubt. But to say they look "exactly alike" was a stretch to us.

I thought I'd post some pictures of the girls at similar ages in similar poses to "prove" that we were right. But then, once the pictures were up, I was amazed at just how much they DO look alike. Freaky!

I called Michael in and had him take a look and his exact words were, "Wow, I see what everyone has been talking about." They seem to have the exact same features. The only real difference is in the shape of their heads. Claire inherited her Daddy's perfectly round basketball head and Sarah inherited her Mommy's longer, oval shaped head. I think if you were to squash Sarah's little head into a perfect circle, we'd be looking at the same child. (don't worry I won't attempt that . . . . again.)

So here are the pictures that caused me to eat crow. Claire's pics are on the left and Sarah's are on the right. (Is the last half of that sentence even necessary?)

An Update on Sarah

Sorry so long in posting. With Michael in Israel, I've had my hands a little full. Not to mention that he took our camera. Wouldn't you know we had several blog-worthy moments while he was gone? Something funny would happen and I'd jump to grab the camera only to remember that it was gone. Sigh. Oh well.

We took Sarah in for her 2 month check up this week. As is the norm for my babies, she is a tank.

She weighs 13 pounds, 12 ounces (which is a whole pound more than Claire weighed at 2months). She is in the 97th percentile in her height, 90th percentile in weight and the 30th percentile in the size of her head. I just have big, fat pea-headed babies. What can I say. I guess I am grateful for the small heads on delivery day. TMI? Okay, sorry.

Here are a few pictures of her at 2 months. As I've mentioned before, baby pictures aren't as interesting to me as the fun toddler action shots, but I guess Sarah needs her fair share of blog time so here ya go:

Not As Smart As I Thought I Was

So I was convinced that teaching Claire how to use the Diaper Champ was a stroke of genius. I could hand her a dirty diaper and she would happily run off to said diaper pail to dispense of the diaper. Thus saving Mommy valuable time.

Yeah, well she apparently loves it so much that she can't wait for the next dirty diaper to be made. I was changing out the bag today and inside (along with the multitude of dirty diapers) I found a remote, 3 clean diapers and two small stuffed animals. Nice huh? Who knows how many valuables I've tossed out with the diapers without knowing it!

I guess if I lose my keys, I'll know where to look first.

Sigh.

Yikes!

It's a little freaky to me that as my daughter consumes a Tigger the Tiger marshmallow sucker, she says, "Bye, bye Tigger. Night, night."



A little too morbid for me. Shudder.
