Well, Claire has been threatening to sleep through the night for the past week. She often sleeps for 5 hour stretches and we've even gotten a couple of 6 hour stretches in the mix. While I have been ever so grateful for this rest, I couldn't bring myself to call this "sleeping through the night" because I was still getting up at 2 am for a feeding each night. (NOTE: I am NOT complaining. I have a wonder child when it comes to night sleep and am very grateful.)
That said, I think I can finally say that she slept through the night last night. We put her down at 10:30 (which is 2 hours late for her) and she slept until 5:30. That's 7 straight hours people!! Her first feeding of the morning isn't technically until 7:00 and I wanted to keep her on schedule, so I let her eat for about 5 minutes, just enough to help her doze back off and she then slept until I woke her at 7:00!
Ahhhh . . . . bliss!

I can't wait to see her. She looks amazing! You guys are so blessed!
Go girl!! That's AWESOME. I think it's ridiculous that the "experts" consider sleeping through the night to be 5 hours. Pish posh, I say.
If future babies follow suit, you'll be blessed indeed. Just think...a WHOLE family sleeping late on Saturdays!
It cracked me up the first time I heard about Phoenix sleeping through the night. I was living with Dad and Sheila at the time, and Dad was happily bragging about Phoenix's sleeping habits, assuring someone that he slept through the night "all the time." Upon hearing this, Sheila reminded him, "No, he doesn't--you're only saying that because it's either me or Ashley who gets up with him!"
Anyway, sleeping through the night stories always amuse me. It's so hard to believe Claire is already two months old! She is so beautiful. :)
