Time Flies

My munchkin is 4 months old now. We had another check-up complete with shots--so much fun. She now weighs 16 pounds 3.5 ounces. Can you imagine if we measured adults' weight in pounds and ounces?

"Yes, Jim. I just went for my 40-year-old check up. I weighed in at 185 pounds and 6.5 ounces. I am in the 85th percentile!! The wife is so proud!"

Seriously though, just look at the difference 4 months can make:

Reasons I Feel Blessed To Be A Stay-At-Home Mom

#1: When I wake each morning, I get to see this: instead of this:

#2: I now have the time to cook in the mornings so that I get this: instead of this:

And most importantly . . .

#3: When I go to work, I get to look at this: instead of this:
What a blessing!!!

Pardon My Procreation

Claire and I flew to Arkansas this week for a funeral. This was her first flight and she did extremely well. Slept the entire time to my relief.

Now, I understand the dread that might flow through fellow passengers minds as they see that a baby is going to be on their plane. I've even had similar thoughts myself before Claire made her arrival. The thoughts themselves don't bother me. But are the glares, rolling eyes and audible sighs really necessary? I mean, it's not like she was even crying when I walked up to the gate. She was sitting happily in my arms shooting drooly grins at passers-by.

I guess this is why they allow pre-boarding. It allows a parent to escape the unnecessary glares and grunts a few minutes early.

To you, Mr. Grumpy Von Scowley, I present this picture:

"Can I pweeese fly on your plane, mister?"

Ho Hum

I really haven't fallen off the face of the earth. These past few weeks have been so routine (like how I avoided using the word boring???) that there hasn't been much interesting to blog about.

Seriously, here is the run down for today's activities:

1) Wake/eat breakfast (Cheerios Crunch--my new favorite)
2) Claire wakes and needs feeding
3) Claire naps, I exercise
4) Shower/get dressed for the day
5) Claire wakes and needs feeding

Bored yet?

6) Play with/sing to Claire
7) Eat lunch/clean up kitchen
8) Claire naps
9) Check e-mail
10) Write blog

See??? You now understand why I haven't blogged in awhile. I may start scheduling some outings merely for the purpose of finding blogging material. This, good people, I do for you. For now, you may consider the past week of no blogging a public service.
